MEXICO CITY – Six Flags announced that between this year and 2013, they will open two new festival-themed amusement parks in Mexico. On top of that, they will also feature a new roller coaster ride in the Spring of 2013 and it will be  called “The Joker”. This new attraction will extend Six Flags’ relationship with the DC Comics.

The first park will be known as “Festival of Terror” and will open in October. It will include attractions like The House of Vampires. On the other hand, “Christmas in the Park” will be inaugurated in December and will have Christmas shows and even artificial snow falling in various sections of the park.

“For competitive reasons we do not disclose the amount invested in each of our new shows.  What I can say is, we spent about 9% of our annual profits to make sure that the new shows will get the publicity they deserve.” Said Six Flags CEO and company president Jim Reid-Anderson.
