Twitter has selected Internet Media Services (IMS) as its strategic sales representative in Latin America, an association which will start operating in September.
The marketing and advertising company said in a statement made available to companies in Latin America except Brazil that three promotional product solutions, namely Twitter, tweets, accounts and promoted trends will be the focus of their advertising strategies.
Advertising services to be launched by the social network with IMS respond to regional growth in the use of Twitter.
In countries like U.S., UK, and Japan, Twitter already has this advertising service. With its alliance with IMS, Twitter is bound to increase the likelihood of expansion of the promotional products offered by the social network.
Vice President of International Operations for Twitter, Shailesh Rao, said that in Latin America, the use of Twitter is growing rapidly and businesses in the region showed significant interest in using the promoted products offered by the social network.
Meanwhile, the CEO of digital marketing company Taratuta Gaston said that the social network will offer customers new opportunities to expand the audience in Latin America, and that Twitter is one of the most used and recognized platforms of social media in the region. ”
