With more than 4 million new views per day and 72 hours of video shared every minute, the Internet portal YouTube is now is on its 7th year, with presence in 39 countries and 54 languages.
Each month, the site is visited by more than 800 million users and reproduces more than 3 million hours of video.
With a handful of video sharing functions among friends, YouTube was released for the first time in May 2005. Today, it has become a global platform that offers the next generation of channels for anyone, anywhere, and on any device.
According to YouTube, more than 800 million users around the world have shown that they are on the right track, since the increase in subscriptions was 50%.
“Behind the tens of millions of channels on YouTube with talented filmmakers, home videos, skateboard tricks, music and car enthusiasts, have always been a single coherent voice,” highlighted the website.
Last year alone, YouTube received more than 100 billion views, proving that the video sharing community will only get more and more users, especially since businesses and online marketers have started tapping the site’s resources to market their products and services in an effort to attract many customers through video marketing.
